For our bakery, effective
planning and implementation required strong commitment from the leadership and active engagement from employees and
stakeholders. It was a team effort to reach our clear goals and objectives, and we made sure everyone had a role and responsibility involved. Incentivising staff was crucial for early shifts etc and as for one off changes, we made sure we knew where we were tracking from before we tracked. For example, when we started using an electric bike for local deliveries we knew that we would have to first create a baseline for all our local dieasel van deliveries to work our the emissions saved over a year. It was important for us to develop detailed action plans for each quarter with defined
timelines, milestones, and responsibilities, ensuring alignment with broader
business strategies and priorities
