We thought it important to actively outline company values, stakeholder expectations, legal and regulatory requirements, and tie it all to the Sustainable Development Goals most pertinent to our business.
To manage our production sites a full environmental impact assessment was vital to indicate issues and gaps. We also did supply chain audits and sustainability risk assessments – a lot like the issues matrix – to identify potential hotspots and areas for improvement. We learned when speaking to our competitors that regular monitoring of KPIs to track progress helps to identify emerging issues over time.
